[2020] Why did Ubisoft remove deployable shields from the exact defenders that need them?

I think I had mentioned this on another thread, but from my perspective, it was done to remove some defender utility. When you couple the amount they have: shields, Goyo Vulkans, Evil Eyes, Banshees, etc, it takes a lot of explosive attacker utility to get rid of those. Not to mention that the utility you use to get rid of those objects can get zapped by ADS' or MAG-Nets.

With fewer shields on the board, it's slightly less frustrating for attackers.
