there is a forgive system . there is something like "was this team kill intended ?" with a yes or no for 30 secs . if you didn't respond , it will automatically active RFF

Validation step still exists, but only in the case where it's a direct teamkill onto a single teammate.
Now there are two different triggers for RFF: teamkill + validation of said teamkill OR damage counter.
Wasn't this only in the old RFF implementation?
With a new damage-based system, RFF can activate even without any team kills - so it would be weird to offer a forgive option that decides whether RFF will activate or not when it also depends on damage done to other teammates. Do you have any recent official sources for this?
See my comment above :D. Validation still exists in this system but it'll only go through that step when it's a full on teamkill and not damage activated.

I guess this doesn't include the punish/forgive prompt? Did I make that up in a dream or something?
Validation step still exists in this version of RFF. You didn't dream it up.
Instead of this convoluted mess can you just give us a Forgive/Punish system that activates RFF if the person isn't Forgiven?
It would be so much simpler to deal with rather than this system. The fact you have to put out such a detailed graphic to clear up the complexities of this system should be ringing alarm bells for you!
RFF is always activated if one player teamkills that that TK is validated by victim. These RFF guidelines are to help you understand what happens -AFTER- RFF is activated and how different interactions/gadgets will behave while you are under RFF.

"Mounted LMG (Tachanka; regardless of who’s using the turret)" so does that mean that if someone teamkills with my turret I get penalized, that sounds easly abusable.
Edit: Also if I die and an attacker memes on me and kills a teammate with my turret am I still the one getting penalized? Also, if RFF is on for me already and an attacker kills a teammate with my turret and I am still alive somewhere, do I die for that too?
The player using Tachanka's Mounted LMG will receive the damage.
Sorry i didnt see it. But how much damage is dealt to activate the rff?
We didn't say. I don't believe we intend to release the algorithm behind it either.
one more thing , is reverse friendly fire is available as an option in custom matches ?
I believe it should be. It'll be turned off by default but you can toggle it in custom.
seriously, i cant figure out how im meant to read this. plus there's a typo with every instance of "damage to teamates [sic]"
Sorry about that. I made it without being able to spend too much time on it and am guilty of copy/pasting that part. >.< It was a lot of information I had to try and condense, but I will try to make future ones more readable.
Apologies if it's in the patch notes somewhere but is there any trigger to the devs if a player gets repeat RFF activations? Something that's like "this guy activates RFF every game, we need to investigate this player" ?
We still are keeping the original TK sanction system in place and multiple activations of RFF still get tagged and reported to us. Which we can then investigate and follow-up on.
Area of effect gadgets (Cap, Fuze, Smoke, etc) should NEVER have RFF activated on them and should ALWAYS harm teammates as they are easily abused if teammates can stand in them with no punishment
Hey Shadow -- the explosives that will change in Season 2 refers to the generic gadgets that result in an explosion rather than the unique operator gadgets. Sorry about the confusion!
So once you get killed, you still get to decide whether it was intentional or an accident?
Yes. If someone else TKs you, you get a prompt asking you to validate whether it was intentional or not.
Intentional > they are put under RFF status. Not intentional > life proceeds as normal.
