Hello Stephano. Thank you for reporting your recent experience in Ranked. I agree that it is an unfair situation when you do not have a full squad against a full squad and can understand it is extremely frustrating when you are trying to grind up in ranks.
The team is investigating several matchmaking issues at this time, including players getting disconnected from Ranked matches as well as starting Ranked without a full team. The R6 team is currently working on a fix for this issue to help improve the overall matchmaking experience. I do not have an ETA on the fix, but any announcements will be posted on our social media pages.
While these situations are ongoing, I have seen a lot of players suggest Siege creates a system like Overwatch, where the match is automatically canceled if someone disconnects at the start of the match. Some have also suggested that players who are playing in an incomplete squad should have less MMR taken if they lose the uneven match. Both suggestions have been passed on to the team for review.
If you believe someone is intentionally leaving to throw matches, you should be reporting usernames to our support team. You can visit the Club website and find a list of recently played with players. You can then send the usernames through a Conduct Report and provide as much detail as possible.
The only hard problem with assessing disconnections is the system cannot tell the intent by the disconnection. There is no way to tell disconnecting on purpose vs accidental. Therefore, there is no exceptions to these sanctions, even if the player crashed or lost power. The support team doesn’t have a way to remove these sanctions regardless if it was due to something out of the player’s control.
Thanks again!

Originally posted by twunny phaiv: So, I don't play (or abandon) a lot of Ranked and I'm not familiar with the exact abandonment penalties in place. Does abandoning a Ranked match only ban you from Ranked for a period of time, or does it ban you from all other multiplayer playlists as well?It removes you from all PvP matchmaking if I remember correctly. You also get a renown penalty and an MMR deduction from Ranked.
