Using push to talk has been increasingly problematic for the past few weeks. At first, I could at least see the speaking icon (my player tag in the corner), but my voice wasn't being heard by any teammates. Now I verified that my mic works in every other program and even open mic still works, although using it comes with its own hazards as people usually don't enjoy a teammate hot micing throughout the match.. I've tried following all the FAQs and troubleshooting guides available, but nothing seemed to work so I just gave up on trying to fix it a few days ago. When I launched up today, I found that not only is my mic not working, but the push-to-talk button (which I have bound to N) doesn't work either and I don't get an icon that signifies that I am speaking. For a game that requires a high degree of communication, this is a pretty big issue and I might just have to stop playing while this it persists.

Is there any solution out there for this that I just haven't found yet? If anyone could help me, or at least verify that I'm not the only one with this issue, it'd be greatly appreciated.

Hello Veltier, thanks for posting and welcome to the forums.

If possible would you be able to record a clip of this for us and post it in the thread. in case this needs reporting to our QA team?

Are you able to upload it to a video hosting website such as Imgur or Youtube then send us a link to view it please?

We have instances where some players were unable to use the push to talk setting but this was occasionally due to some players accessibility settings enabled for text to speech and speech to text.

We are aware that some players will not see an icon when they are, or there team mates speaking in-game, and this particular issue has been under investigation.

There are various troubleshooting steps we can take to try and resolve the no mic issue, but first of all could you try the following fix to make sure the application recognizes the correct input device -

-Right click on the Volume/Sound speaker icon in your Taskbar and select Open Sound Settings.

-Then scroll all the way down to the bottom until you hit the Advanced Sound Options and select App Volume Device Preferences.

-You will see a 'Output and Input' option, make sure you have your game open, and it should appear in the list of Applications here.

-From here you can assign which device the listed applications will receive input audio from for your mic. So under the dropdown column for Siege, select which Audio Device you'd like to use as input.
