[2020] Are characters in Siege based off or inspired by real people?

The "Rainbow Six" CTU unit itself is based off the fiction book by Tom Clancy, aptly titled "Rainbow Six". Some of the very early R6 games referenced characters from the actual book. While none of the operators in the book seem much in line with this "Siege" game, there is a reference to a heartbeat sensor in the book, that is akin to Pulse's cardiac sensor. The book itself is a pretty good read, if you want to check it out.
