I have been playing rainbow six siege consistently for the last few years and I have randomly been unable to play the game within the last few weeks due to a glitch , bug, or some performance error that seems very rare compared to what I have seen on the forums, reddit, and other sources of troubleshooting. whenever I launch into a game, I cannot: shoot, aim, use gadget, throw explosive, crouch, move, or anything besides looking with my mouse. When I boot into the game, all I can see is controller button inputs on the bottom of the screen and my mouse and keyboard is unusable. I use my controller for other games but I have tried unplugging the controller dongle from the pc, restarting my pc, EVEN REINSTALLING THE GAME will not fix my issue. The worst part about this is when I get into a ranked or unranked game and this bug or glitch occurs, I cant even press escape to quit out of the game from the menu. I am tired of dealing with this issue and I just want to play the game as normal.

Hey, ChiefinCharge!

Welcome to the forums. I can see that you have the Steam version of Rainbow Six: Siege, as such do you have any controller settings in Steam enabled?

In Steam, click on the Big Picture Mode button in the upper-right corner
This will open Steam in Big Picture Mode in full screen
Click on the Library button
Select Rainbow Six: Siege
Click on the Manage Game button in the left-hand column
Click on the Controller Options button
Click the Steam Input Per-Game dropdown box
Select Global Settings
Launch Rainbow Six: Siege to confirm that you can now use your keyboard

If the issue persists please let us know.

Thank you.
