Today is a great day for South Africans, not just for gamers but the country as a whole.
MS have just launched the Azure servers in our region, something we've been waiting for, for a long...long time.
So what does this have to do with Siege? You might ask.
Well if you rewind to Invitationals 2018, you'd remember the announcement for additional regions to Siege via Azure. Finally after a long wait, South Africans are excited again.
South Africans consist of a lot of the loyal player base, I myself have been playing since 2015 from the closed and open betas. There are many like me, and more pop in by the day.
Right now competitive South African Siege has never been better, with multiple tournaments being held with many teams despite the horrible lag we experience. Getting servers will only make things better for us and numbers will grow at an incredible rate I'm sure!
This is also great for the entire player base, we understand that high ping vs low ping is not great for everyone, but you have to understand we get the worst of it. I very nearly gave up siege, but the only thing that kept me going was the thought of local servers.
Please ubisoft! Give us a response?
