[2020] Buying Steam edition over a Uplay one

Definitely don't recommend that, as we can't guarantee that all of the ops will be added in the appropriate manner. What I've been recommending is spending the money on in-game credits to buy the ops as supposed to chancing it on combining the accounts.

Thank you! But what if I buy a new edition in Uplay store though?

Same deal, actually! I don't have any insight into the "why" of the matter, but I know that there have been difficulties in attempts to upgrade the game across the board, and it's best to just buy the ops, or if you're only interested in the Y5 ops, the season pass instead!

Would it be fine if I got the game on here, but if I found that the Year Pass was cheaper on Uplay, can I purchase on there so I can have the operators on my Steam account for cheap or would that not work out?

Just double checked - for the year pass, as long as your steam and uplay are linked *that* should work out.
