Yes, the recoil was nerfed, but the community has recently been displeased with the recoil nerf, so you're not alone.

Personally I've never had issues with the new recoil, but I know that each gun feels different to everyone who plays the game. I believe the feedback was passed along to the team, but I'll keep this thread in mind for my report to the devs this week.
