His shield is a big and obvious smoke canister that cannot be activated remotely. If he tries to get line of sight on it to shoot it, he will get shot by the attacker in front of it. If he can shoot the attacker(with the amazing Vector too), why take the chance and aim somewhere else?

If he does manage to shoot it, the fire does a pitiful 12dmg a second, if there are no attackers near it, all it does is deduct 10 seconds from the attackers' timer??

edit: so, play him for being 2 speed Vector roamer, don't overthink on his shields?

You've gotta get clever with Goyo! If you want to have LOS on his Vulcan canisters, you have to place in areas where you can either blow a small hole above or below so you can see when someone vaults it or is in range to take damage from it.
