[2021] Why do people touch plat 3 and never play ranked after then ?

I think it's just people being happy with where they landed. I know a lot of players who don't care about getting into Diamond or Champ. Plat is the standard for a lot of people and I guess once they achieve that they feel they've gotten all they went into Ranked to achieve.
