[2019] Now that the demo priority bug is acknowledged by the devs, will general demos that have been broken for months, get fixed?

Demos have been broken for months, nearing a year. /u/Horaryhellfire2 made a very comprehensive post proving that demos are broken not only online, but also in offline situations.

This has been prominent before the demo priority issue was even a thing.

On the most recent demo priority related post, the devs acknowledged the issue and said they were gonna look into it.

Demos have been broken for months, devs also said they were going to look into the issue on the post above, yet it still hasn't been fixed.

Will this get fixed in any way? Or is this the intended mechanic? Gotta say, sideswipe demos don't seem like a great mechanic to have tbh....
