I was curious if anyone else has seen the issue that results in a full computer crash when logging into Runescape? It seems a bit odd to me that the NXT client would have the ability to crash the computer instead of just the application as most things Mac related are so compartmentalized. Anyway, I have a workaround, but need to see if anyone else has found some more information or knows of a post where more info is.

Details: Upon selecting the world or clicking "Play Now" the computer freezes for about 5-6 seconds before going black and restarting.

OS: 10.14.2Model: MacBook Pro (15-inch, 2018)
Processor: 2.9GHz Intel Core i9
Graphics: Radeon Pro 555X 4096 MB / Intel UHD Graphics 630 1536 MB

Pre-requisites: None
Frequency: Every time once a crash occurs until the workaround is used. Then you may get 4-5 launches without using the workaround before it reappears.

T/S: Modified graphics settings (Workaround for prior client crash works for preventing computer crash), Redownloaded client, Reduced graphics settings, Tested in fixed mode, Tried full screen/non.

Workaround: When you change the graphics to low and set the resolution to fixed, log in then change everything back there appears to be no issues until the client is restarted.

EDIT: Updated to identify the NXT client not the Java client.

Sounds like a hardware issue
