I know this is not new for some, but I keep seeing a post here and there, and people in game wondering about their high cpu usage, so figured this might be of help.
Since the update this week, something has been bugged with the new lobby and going to the lobby after being in game currently has been stressing the cpu WAY more than it should, leading to heightened cpu temperature. If you sit in the lobby from a fresh restart of the client, you will not experience any of this - it is only after going to lobby after playing.
If you know you're going to lobby for any extended amount of time, close out of the game instead. As far as I know, this has been affecting everyone.
