[2020] Is it really another patch week again? When will something new besides patches be added?

A question out of curiosity: When do you all see something as patch week and when all of you see something as a game update?

The people involved in the Mining and Smithing changes have put a lot of time, effort and passion into this and it being seen as patches does hurt me a little.

hence the question above, do we need to make changes to the way we present it, do we need make some further small changes/addition or is it something else we should do to stop it from being 'just another patch week'?
