Very nice changes and are we getting more news about vorkath closer to the release?

We're getting a Livestream section into the TWIR now, we totally missed it this week!

We have a stream on Wednesday where we'll reveal it, followed by a blog.

Edit: Worth mentioning that we'll be showing/revealing specific elements of the Boss and it's rewards - we won't be showcasing any core mechanics of the Boss in action to keep the fun of discovering how to battle him!

Amazing patches today mr /u/jagexdoom and the team. If community strikes could happen more often, you would gain a lot of happy players.

Happy to hear it. We've been setting up to be able to tackle Community Hitlist items more often so glad it's being felt.

The team are eager for this to be a regular thing going forward and we're planning for it. Current thinking is we'll likely put out Community Hitlist calls regularly next year (maybe quarterly) - that way we can always be focused on what's top of mind, rather than working through an outdated list of requests.

So, the wording of the 50 bank space + 3 presets booster makes me think its only purchaseable during black friday and will later be retired, am I reading it right?

Checked in with the team on this.

The bundle will still be available after Black Friday - the price during Black Friday is an offer price for only 1 Bond (Members), or 2 Bonds (F2P).

After Black Friday, the Bond Price will be 2 Bonds (Members) or 3 Bonds (F2P). Hope that clears things up!

u/jagexdoom LOVE these updates.

I see the Vorkath Guard and Lantern event will bring back infinite porter buff. Please please please please make sure irons will still get access to this porter buff if they get all the shards (like with golden cape event). The poll on the RS front page is super bugged and should not be used to determine if irons can get infinite porter or not. Thanks and again love these updates!

Hello! I might have commented on it here on Reddit before, but just for clarity and consistency - the poll that ran on the website was purely an informative poll that I was using to gauge reception to Ironman inclusion during these events. I'm very aware that the poll was open to all members (so it was never going to be representative of Ironmen exclusively) so it was never going to be definitive in shaping our direction for the event. It does, however, affirm my desire to run an in-game Ironman-exclusive poll as this is part of a larger conversation!

Anyway, to answer the question - yes, Ironman players will be able to access the event after collecting shards. However, our intent was that we have toggled the buffs off by default for Ironman players. Players will now need to manually opt into the buffs themselves.

We had a lot of constructive conversations around this as a team - the previous events set a precedent that we were conscious of but at the same time feedback around buffs for Ironmen is very mixed so we've taken this (small) step to make a conscious adjustment to it, but I'm going to be working with a few of the team to build up a poll following up from this event to help us get a clearer delineation on where Ironmen stand so we have a clearer vision moving forwards.

No offense but the toggle thing doesn't make any sense to me, why even have Ironman mode at that point? Just give mains the ability to toggle off trading and using the ge and call that Ironman mode. The point of Ironman mode is a challenge game mode where everyone is expected to be held to the same standard

This is certainly a conundrum that I (and the team, really) have inherited - the Ironman experience means different things to different people. The reasoning behind doing an ironman-exclusive poll is to get a clearer picture of what the mode means to different players!

I feel like Jagex should err on the side of caution if the feedback from ironmen is mixed. You can always add it later but can't reverse the damage if you want to removed it later.

Yep, that's why this is an incremental step - removing the buffs that were added in the previous event is a bit counterintuitive and so this is an incremental change while we work on getting a clearer way for Ironman players' voices channelled through for us in future iterative designs.
