There's a strange bug in the course where you don't complete laps when you should that I'd like to call finish-line shifting. For some reason the obstacle which you need to pass to "complete the lap" can sometimes shift from being the rocks at the camp to some other obstacles around the course, for example the roots right before/after crossing the cave. When this happens, you won't receive your 10 codex pages and your big xp drop at the right moment.

I've heard one possible way to fix this is by logging out and relogging, though this didn't work for me. To circumvent this I had to keep moving in the same direction in the course (that meant crossing the same rocks in the camp that you did last "lap") until I hit the new "finish line" (you'll know when because of the xp/page drop). DO NOT attempt the course in the other direction! The course is now glitched and you must continue in the SAME direction as you were going before. After passing the new finish line obstacle, you can either keep the finish line as that obstacle (not recommended) by continuing to the next obstacle in either direction, or you can reset the finish line by teleporting back to the camp and starting the course from the rocks again.

I might be missing something though, so correct me if I am.

Hi, this isn't actually a bug. The obstacle course contains 7 segments, to get the lap rewards you must complete all 7 segments in order but you can start and finish from any of those segments. And if you change direction, it will reset your lap progress and your new lap start location will be the first segment you complete after changing direction.

I hope this helps :)

It won't reset if you only do a couple of obstacles. If you complete a full segment in the other direction though it will.
