Just to clarify, this was not a hotfix.
I am ambivalent about this update. What I don't like is that this hotfix caused me to disconnect and die. Hotfixes are for bugs, for serious mistakes. There was nothing to be "fixed" here as your language implies. It was simply something that could have been packaged up with the rest of the update happening in around 4 hours, assuming everything is on schedule.

Out of interest, if it wasn't, what was it?
This went out with the last game update.
Erm, what? I did not have this button on my backpack until I logged in today (first time noticing it). And I'm at least 60% sure that there hasn't been a game update between around 1800 yesterday and 09:00 today.
It was locked to a specific date.
That comment wasn't however. But you are right, it's pedantry. I just really am annoyed by how blatant and badly thought it was.

I watched the change go live last week. I'm not sure why you think I'd be lying to you and what - if anything, that would achieve.
It probably should have been included in last weeks patch notes then
We purposely don't include a lot of MTX related changes in the patch notes for obvious reasons.
