i just do want to point out that i really like the feel of BGH. its fun and its a very different challenge, and it feels like a mix of risk/reward and smart movement. i really did enjoy it today, but it just feels like it needs a couple tweeks to really make it feel worth it aside from enjoyment.

the problem i see is that the XP on the low and mid tier dinos is pretty bad compared to other methods, while being a lot more active. that means the demand for their meat to bate the high tier monsters will always be high, but the supply will be very very low, which means most of the time you're going to have to gather your own bait to do it at all, which heavily impacts your xp rates. xp rates are only good if bait is consistently available and that may not end up being the case.
what if we could use the meat from the level 96 creatures on one of the other 96 creatures? for example, the pavosauras could be used with oculi apoterrasaur, cammerupt meat for pavosaurus, and oculi meat for cammerupt. if that seems to get away too much from what you wanted, what if it worked instead for spicati, asciatops and corbicula dinos instead, so that we still have to go down a tier to restock on high tier bait, but not all the way down, helping to preserve the XP rates a bit, while also giving value to the meat drops from the high tier dinos.
the hunter outfits having no benefit to BGH aside from XP rates also seems to be out of place. xp bonuses from outfits are always good, but the elite outfits typically say "this is absolutely what you want to be wearing while training the skill, no matter what you're doing" and you don't get that with BGH. I almost want to wear my sentinel outfit instead to improve my success rate when cutting logs and vines to make my kills even faster rather than wearing my hunter outfit just for the 6% xp bonus. what if the elite outfit reduced the targets awareness radius by 1 tile? or if thats too good, how about it increases resource collection rate for vines and logs? its a small thing, but it would definitely make it the best thing to wear during encounters.
duo and triple encounters, from observation, offer no benefit other than providing an extra challenge. they don't change loot or XP; they just make things harder. they take WAY longer to complete as well, further negatively impacting xp and expected loot. I get that there's an achievement for a triple encounter kill, but other than that, these just feel like time wasters and it ends up being that you just reset the encounter.
but yeah, please don't take this feedback as "this is shit content waaahhhh change ittt!!!" as I really do think it just needs a couple minor tweaks. i really like this content and i feel its so close to being just right.
