Can we get a message in the chat box saying "Red has hit 30k damage" etc, so if we miss the cutscene we can still know the weakness?

Can there be an auto skip cutscene option? Doing this for hours on end will get a bit tiring, no matter how pretty the cutscene is :)

There are a few hurdles we must first overcome before we properly consider this. We would really like to do it, as we understand how useful it would be, but it does mess with balancing. The time between when you have hunted and when you can hunt again is all considered in the XP and GP/hr.

Hope that answers questions for the time being. :)

I mean, if you're playing strategically (doing the first round with 2 spears of one colour and 1 spear of a different colour), then you can deduce which colour is the 30k hit without needing to watch the cutscene, just by remembering what colours you used and then comparing that with the amount of leftover HP on the dino.

i.e. I use 2 red and 1 blue in my first round. Dino goes from 90k to 45k. Only possible combination that works is "blue = 30k, red = 7.5k", hence I know to use blue for the remaining attempts at dino. I can safely skip the cutscene, hence displaying the message in the chat box would not actually save any (meaningful amount of) time.

We understand the meta, having it in writing helps put it in perspective though, so thank you :) I'm sure we'll give updates on this as decisions are made

What gp/hr are we supposed to get? Have you balanced it around the fact you have to hunt the crap ones with no drops/poor xp before you can hunt the best ones, or pay extortionate prices that net a loss because there's no use for the t3 meat?

I've hunted the best ones, at about 250 kc and have only lost money on these. How rare are these drops? I'm now forced to continue for God knows how long, and as the pieces crash even more, I'm coming closer and closer to not making a profit even if I get a drop...

The xp isn't good enough for how intense and expensive these are, and the drop rate is too rare to continue risking money when all other hunter is free/profit. I enjoy killing the dinos, but am not going to do it if it's not worth doing.

We dont balance around the time required to obtain resources if they're tradeable, for the same reasons we wouldn't balance herblore against the time taken to grow the herbs.

I don't have any numbers to hand on XP specifically, but we've been watching it closely and will continue to do so, same with the drops. I hope you'll forgive me that i'm not going into more details on what we may or may not plan on doing.

The more expensive something is the faster the xp/hr is

There's no way we can accurately gauge the price of an item during development, though we can make an estimate on where it may end up when considering other similar existing items, we don't balance around that. Buyables are often balanced by the level required
