23s idea what might be interesting is to
25s show off the satisfactory wiki because
26s we have a lot of people in our wiki
29s contributing community and we thought
31s it'd be a good idea to highlight the
32s work that they're doing but also see if
33s we can find some stuff that might be
36s might need some extra um context to it
38s maybe some extra information if there's
40s anything that might be a little wrong we
42s could maybe correct that as well i know
43s that we go to the wiki often
46s uh to check facts about our own game
48s yeah more times than i'd like to admit
50s yeah yeah exactly so hopefully we can
52s show uh some stuff that's on the wiki
53s and maybe see if we can find anything
55s that might be wrong and see if we can
57s help correct it hopefully you'll find it

101s information is like the people who are
103s contributing on the wiki are doing such
104s a great job they've got like all like
106s information about all the minors math
108s and stuff like that so the clock speed
110s um wiki here basically they've got
112s information of like how the power scales
115s with the overclocking yeah because it's
117s not linear yeah exactly so there's like
118s a lot of extra information sweet graphs
121s like a lot of people are are a lot of
123s attention to detail putting a lot of
125s work into this wiki and so i think this
127s is just one page that kind of just
129s demonstrates that if you need to know
131s anything about satisfactory the wiki is
133s like 99.9 accurate and i think it's a
136s safe bet and it has pretty much answers
138s to every question you could have so i
139s cannot highly recommend the wiki enough
142s and cannot thank the contributors to the
144s wiki enough so much much appreciated
146s everyone who is contributing to this yes

172s weird what's that we don't have cats in
174s our hands so obviously this is
175s arachnophobia oh yeah really i want to
177s just mention this real quick but our
179s wiki contributors have have created
180s arachnophobia mode for the wiki itself
183s and i think that's super great because
184s some people can't you know stand the
186s side of spiders or whatever and so it's
188s really nice that by default it shows the
190s cats on the wiki and then of course you
192s can turn it off if you want to see the
193s actual spider creatures themselves so uh
195s you know huge props to wiki contributors
198s there really love that
200s but yeah what's what's the deal here
201s snip so according to the wiki they they
203s list four different stinger types uh
205s which is like
207s half true i guess or not really true
208s because there's only three different
209s types in game really but we have uh like
213s data wise we have four different stinger
215s types but the only main difference
217s between one of these is that they spawn
219s in a different location i think we call
221s them like cave singer or something like
222s that um so really there are there are
224s like three different stinger types
226s there's like the yeah it's evil yeah
227s right here in the in the trivia yeah
230s um so so that doesn't like they don't
233s have like different um ai or anything
235s like that uh i think they function the
238s same way like just that the different
240s types have like different health or
241s something like that um so the ones that
243s are listed here at the bottom
244s it's more due to the fact that where
246s they spawn rather than like there are
247s different stinger types right one thing
249s that i'm noticing is that here with
251s their like stats they actually have
253s different sets like 10 10 50 30
256s 100 300 and 100 and this one has like
258s gas so i mean if this is true
260s these are four different
263s yeah stats what's the deal there i don't
265s know because because some of this data
266s on the wiki is like datamined from
268s different builds of the game and
269s sometimes we've uploaded accidentally
271s like stuff in the build that shouldn't
273s be in the game um so maybe sometimes
276s they when people have data mine the game
278s they find information that like isn't
280s accurate because it's never used really
281s but they find like the data essentials
283s right okay well i guess uh i guess we
285s can also double check this again um just
287s to make sure that like this isn't really
289s the case and we'll leave our verdict on
292s the screen right here wow i can't look

297s it turns out that this is the truth
299s actually great hey everyone it's jason

303s okay so the deal is you guys there are
305s actually three types of stingers okay
307s and here are their stats um we call them
310s the baby stinger the
312s alpha singer and the elite gas stinger
314s um and you can see there these are the
317s stats for them now we also have these
319s other kinds of stingers like a variation
320s of these called cave stingers and each
322s one of these has a cave version of
323s themselves and they're exactly the same
325s in every way the only difference is uh
328s when they spawn so normal stingers only
330s spawn during the night time cave
331s stingers spawn during day and night the
334s intention is that we would put them in
335s the caves and they would always be there
336s regardless of time of day but we also
338s use some of the cave stingers outside in
341s the in the world as well such as in the
343s swamp or in the red jungle as well so um
345s but yeah basically there are only three
346s types uh and then we just have the
348s variations of whether or not they can
350s spawn during day or night so uh back to
352s you guys oh yeah so one thing i want to
354s say real quick about this here okay so
356s we have we have the one we have the cats
359s here this is one of natalie's cats and
362s their name is freya but that is not
364s listed anywhere on the on on the wiki so
366s if you want to add that if if that's
368s wiki worthy this cat's name is freya the
371s other cat's name is
374s here right here i it's hard for me to
377s pronounce this name
378s it's a really right it's a hard
379s neighborhood i mean yes it is at least
381s for me i'm not swedish so this name is
383s really really hard to pronounce for me
384s so i'm just gonna leave it on the screen
386s here um and the other one is yeah that's
388s uh sophia concept artists cat and also
391s no representation of that cat here i
393s mean maybe we could get a picture of the

396s next up we were looking at the object
398s scan scanners notes and we we spotted
401s something in the object scanner yes what
403s was it it was something to do about
406s gemstones oh yeah so the trivia down the
407s bottom yeah so this is a little bit of a
409s trivia thing here that this used to be
411s called the gemstone gemstone scanner
413s internally uh which is true we used to
415s call it a gemstone scanner slugs used to
417s be gemstones
419s so we changed uh for the longest times
422s slugs were just like gems that you find
423s in the world and then you turn that into
425s power shards and then like
428s pretty
430s close to release we just decided like ah
432s let's do something more fun with the
434s gemstones and turn them into slugs or
435s something maybe and they're slow-moving
437s slugs or something so it is it is
440s working the same way it's the same
441s functionality it's just like we just
442s renamed it essentially okay all right so
444s next up we actually have there's
446s actually a page on the wiki for coffee
447s stain studios and it has like employees
450s and just like information about you know
452s the company the people who work here and
454s stuff and there's like some sections on
455s us that has um
457s some just various trivia that has been
459s sort of
460s you know leaked or exposed or that we've
462s talked about on streams for example and
464s a great one here is hannah hannah's our
465s word designer and uh writer hannah has a
468s quite a vinyl collection can't confirm

538s would ask if they oh wow if there would
540s be uh any aquatic creatures and we had
542s this big thing where we would not add
544s any aquatic to the game and uh if
547s was probably around that time that this
549s was pulled uh not really sure but does
551s it say when it got pulled because it's
552s like update four maybe or three here oh

558s is the actual point yeah yeah
561s that's the first wow it was in the game
562s for a while yeah yeah yeah holy crap

616s assume we wouldn't have added this if we
618s didn't intend to add it later so it's

634s and stuff like people people have been
635s asking about like when can we use sam or

638s you can't use samoa yet but uh the
641s intention is that you will be able to
642s use it at some point yeah we don't
643s really wanna say too much more about
645s that we don't know if you'll be able to
646s convert them into auras or not i mean
648s ingots uh but um
650s you know we have left them in the game
651s because we do intend that you could do
653s something with it so heat resistant suit
655s so this is interesting because i don't
656s know any
658s thing that can hurt you by heat in the
660s game
661s um we have the radiation suit and i
663s think this is maybe like a
665s early prototype of that maybe yeah there
667s was probably some plans for having uh
670s some like heat damage or something like
672s that but it's uh we don't have anything
673s like that in our maps so yeah we had a
675s couple weapons here rebar scatter gun
676s which oddly enough couldn't be reloaded
680s and this is this is just again it's like
682s we we created the concept for it maybe
684s prototyped it and it kind of just died
686s and we forgot that it was there and
687s that's kind of why it ended up shipping
689s with the game the rifle is a funny story
691s it's a great story because like the
692s rifle was
694s i i thought originally that the rifle
696s did the rifle mark two did less damage
698s but according this is just 12 damage
699s yeah the magazine's size was smaller
701s right i think
703s cause the way i remember it was that we
705s when we started working on like a lot of
707s stuff we had ideas for like oh what if
709s we had like a mark two of everything
710s essentially and then
712s when as we went on we realized like ah
714s maybe we shouldn't do that because we
715s can rebalance the game and make it work
717s with just mark 1 stuff and i think rifle
719s mark 2 was like a remnant of that but
721s then when we before we decided that we
724s were working on like the rifle mark 1
725s and mark ii and then like ah whatever
726s we'll rebalance mark one rifle but we
729s didn't rebalance this because we thought
731s that we weren't going to add that but
732s then we accidentally included in a build
734s yeah and this was usable this wasn't
736s even something that you could actually
737s kind of this yeah um
739s people were sending us a lot of messages
741s about this being like what the hell is
742s this about yeah you get this weird gun
744s here that's not really obviously better
745s or yeah you like that really why is it
747s so bad
748s and we were just like whoops
750s let me just rip that out right away
752s that's not
754s 1.5 and then mk2 variants of buildings
757s people still request like an mk2 version
759s of uh buildings and they did technically
761s they did exist at some point yeah we
762s didn't have them in the game
764s but they were just like the same model
766s but we just made them better in-game but
769s we ended up feeling that it was just
770s kind of like where this cup there's a
772s couple of reasons why we probably won't
773s do this uh first is because of like
777s we felt that if we would have to have
778s mark ii buildings it was like
781s we would need to make like new
782s appearances for them so it's just like
784s the same building but they just look
785s better or whatever we actually wanted
786s them to like look better and like
788s animate differently and stuff like that
790s and that is a lot of work like just
792s getting our current machines to the
794s point that they are has been a lot of
795s work so
797s just from that aspect we don't feel like
799s it's it's really worth the work for what
800s you get out of it but then there's
801s there's also the element of like well
802s what does a mark two thing do does it do
804s the same thing as before but quicker
806s yeah but you know then we have
808s overclocking to handle that kind of
809s thing or does it do different recipes
811s but then that's what a new building does
813s yeah so it's like why would we add a
814s constructor like mark two and not a new
817s building that can do different things
819s there's a lot of work that goes into
820s making it a mark ii version of a
822s building and the gain is like kind of
824s minimal it doesn't really change the
826s game that much um more so than like a
829s new what a new building could do yeah so
832s i don't think mark two buildings are
833s coming you guys i think some of these i
835s think the converter and another one
837s that's coming later we're in like one of
839s the first trailers we're gonna put out
840s in the game because there's a shot where
842s like we
842s we have like the holograms selected and
844s we just switch between different
846s buildings and i think this one and one
848s that's coming later the uh
850s the storage remote storage thing i think
852s they were in the game for a long time um
856s this one i have no idea what this is uh
858s used to convert any two raw resources i
860s remember the discussions around this
862s yeah i remember this as well this is
864s when i was programming on the game yeah
865s that we were discussions about the
867s converter um but i think we just didn't
870s find
871s any like real use for it in the game um
874s even though it might sound like oh that
875s sounds awesome but i don't think we
877s actually managed to like fit it into the
879s game to make it fun or anything like
880s that so that's probably why we didn't
882s include it hatred collider now this this
884s interesting enough we didn't change too
886s much on the model but we did change like
888s the the front here so like the it used
890s to be that the
892s stuff came in from the side of it and
893s now i think it comes straight straight

897s i think the the way that the power was
899s used you know how it ramps up now i that
902s wasn't how it was before right i'm
904s pretty sure that was a new thing with
905s the particle accelerator that was
907s introduced with the particles yeah so
908s here as a patch 0.4 update four yeah
911s it's been into particle silver it has
912s different functions correct also we do
914s different animations now because
916s originally it was just like it would
917s just light up and then simon did instead
919s so that it spins and like does
921s electrical stuff yeah it's like whoa
923s flashing industrial lighting so
925s yeah we did have
927s early on in the game we did have a
929s version with like a bunch of lighting in
930s it and i think the the model for like
933s the
934s this industrial light is the same as
936s like the what's it called in the game
938s the street light street light yeah yeah
940s didn't need to look up on the wiki this
941s time i looked at it on the wiki oh damn
942s it
943s literally right there we did have an old
945s version of the game where we did have
946s lighting and it was just like
949s a nightmare to implement because it
951s slowed down the game and now we have
952s like a much more clever implementation
954s of lighting in the game so that's why we
956s could introduce lighting in update four
958s yep um so yeah but that's that's the the
960s uncle or the grandpa of lighting
965s powered wall powered wall i remember
966s this this was uh
969s so
970s a lot of people asked for this actually
972s when we introduced the game and we we
974s didn't like the powered wall because it
976s was kind of like not intuitive how you
978s use it i remember when when you built
980s something like you didn't like
982s understand how you would feed in the
984s wires and stuff like that and which we
985s solved that by having the like wall
987s connectors instead so this is like one
989s of those features where we tried it out
990s and prototyped it and we didn't know
992s like
993s it's kind of useful but not really in
995s this state and it this evolved into like
998s the the power connectors which i believe
1000s we also want to do in
1002s like along with this but i think we just
1004s decided that that's probably better you
1005s just have power connectors and i think
1007s they kind of serve the same purpose as
1009s the powered walls uh even though like it
1011s might be easier just if you had power
1013s walls they would like be sequentially
1014s powered or whatever yeah i i i get the
1016s feeling that if we you know if we talk
1017s you know mention this on this video you
1018s know a lot of people are gonna say that
1019s sounds really cool i really like it and
1021s if you do let us know

1042s idea what this is this is literally the
1044s first time i've seen this as uh was
1046s building used for crafting quantum
1047s crystal and superposition oscillator

1051s sounds good remote storage ah remote
1053s storage storage so actually this is
1054s interesting so yeah remote storage is
1056s basically uh something that i think you
1058s can like put items into and then you can
1060s access it kind of
1061s from anywhere or or something like that
1063s yeah yeah and i actually
1066s prototyped this first yeah so like this
1068s is one of one of the tasks that i had
1069s was to uh
1071s you know get the initial version of the
1072s remote storage working uh i think we
1074s called it central storage at the time
1075s yeah yeah yeah and uh and interesting
1078s enough one of my first tasks was to rip
1080s this code out
1083s because we did a bunch of uh when we
1085s changed how we did networking
1088s uh when we changed how we did networking
1090s in the game
1091s there was a bunch of like
1093s weird cases where like we had the sensor
1094s storage because you could access the
1096s sensor storage from everywhere yeah and
1098s like it would it would plug up like how
1100s we did the networking code so it was
1101s just like are we going to have this and
1103s we're like maybe not and then like all
1105s right i'll just delete it then yeah so
1107s uh i remember specifically a couple of
1108s places where i just saw code for like
1110s central storage i'm like ah get rid
1112s of that well sorry my story in my
1114s life yeah this guy just comes along so
1116s another page we've got is future content
1118s but i don't really want to speculate on
1119s this stuff too much because i think it's
1121s really fun to see what people come up
1122s with here and of course we don't want to
1124s confirm or deny anything um you can see
1127s that there is a list of potential
1129s release dates november 31st being my
1131s favorite
1132s year unspecified yeah
1134s one thing that i do want to mention is
1136s uh biome changes all right so we have
1138s confirmed biome changes and we made a
1140s video about that uh is that there's
1142s gonna be a change to the spire coast
1143s biome all right so looking at this map
1145s here that's this big white section can't
1147s see because this thing's here this big
1149s white section at the top here is gonna
1151s get like
1152s like a really really heavy rework and um
1155s you know we did talk about that in the
1156s video a while back uh just want to
1158s remind you all and in case you haven't
1160s seen the video
1161s it's changing i actually hopped on a
1163s call with hannah recently and uh she
1165s showed me what she's been doing with the
1167s spider coast and

1170s yeah get your stuff out inspired coast

1174s it looks it looks different and there's
1176s a lot going on it looks you know this is
1178s what happened right i was like wow this
1179s looks so different it looks like you
1181s deleted it and started from started over
1182s from scratch and she goes i did

1187s so yeah i mean i've got like my fuel
1189s generators and stuff there
1190s where move your stuff out of there just
1193s move it listen doggo we've got a section
1195s on liz doggo um one thing that we
1197s noticed here actually is this little
1199s point here internally it is referred to
1200s as shrimpy or space rabbit and
1204s i mean that is kind of true because that
1206s is what we used to call it yeah
1208s but we didn't have a name for it exactly
1210s um and then yeah as this is the the wiki
1213s says here it was widely viewed as the
1214s game's mascot after its initial
1216s appearance in the teaser trailer uh and
1218s that's that's true but the name liza
1220s dogger came from uh community uh it came
1223s from like basically from the comments
1225s there there was like a suggestion there
1226s and a lot of people really took the
1227s lizard doggo and then we started calling
1229s it liza doggo but we now call it lizado
1231s internally as well uh so like i would
1234s say this is mostly correct but it's we
1236s used to call it that yeah everyone calls
1238s it liza doggo now oh oh they actually
1240s have that here the name liz dog was
1242s originally coined by youtube commented
1243s chad mojito nice this is wild that's a
1246s very chat wait is the actual comment
1248s does it go to that comment

1253s you can yeah you can't highlight it come
1254s here oh right here oh my god according
1257s to the trivia page here it says that it
1258s was killed by snoot so there's a real
1261s life lizard doggo featuring update for
1262s patchon's video we really use one of the
1264s animations from the gdc teaser trailer
1266s yes we've reused that animation so many

1269s but it's also mentioned here that it was
1271s killed by snoot
1272s which is like i kind of want to say not
1275s it's not true it's like kind of
1276s open-ended what happens with the lizzie
1278s dog it definitely made death noises yes

1282s subtitles the closed captions that have
1284s made death noises but did it really die

1381s you know buddies with a few other
1383s developers and we did some fun
1384s collaboration here where we kind of
1387s we sort of like on their game a
1388s little bit on social media and then they
1389s ended up including some satisfactory
1391s stuff in their game and we've included
1392s this here where basically
1395s uh we've sort of defamed one of the
1397s companies in their game so yeah uh
