| 97s | in the case for veteran players where |
| 98s | you're actively looking for a specific |

| 103s | can be a bit annoying uh we still want |
| 105s | there to be some element of Randomness |
| 107s | when it comes to which alt recipe |
| 109s | becomes available to you but we want you |
| 111s | to have a little bit more control over |
| 113s | it uh funny side note there's currently |
| 115s | a bug in update 8 where it's actually |
| 117s | possible to reset the hard drive |
| 119s | research uh we fixed that bug during the |
| 122s | experimental period for update 8 but |
| 124s | then it reappeared again on the Early |
| 126s | Access release and I think uh I think |
| 129s | many people believe we brought it back |
| 131s | due to community feedback because people |
| 132s | started complaining when we fixed it but |
| 135s | uh nope uh we didn't we we goofed up |
| 138s | you're you're not supposed to be able to |
| 140s | do that uh anyways we wanted to improve |
| 143s | this aspect of the game regardless so we |
| 145s | decided to change how this system |
| 147s | functions and here's how you can expect |
| 149s | it to work from now on in the molecular |
| 152s | analysis machine we've introduced the |
| 154s | hard drive Library this is a new tab in |
| 156s | the maam that will list all hard drives |
| 158s | that have been researched you can still |
| 160s | only research one hard drive at a time |
| 163s | but you no longer need to select one of |
| 165s | the rewards from the research before you |
| 166s | start the research of another so if you |
| 169s | need some time to think about it or you |
| 171s | want to do some research online uh the |
| 173s | hard drive rewards will be there waiting |
| 175s | for you until you make a decision when |
| 178s | you select a researched hard drive in |
| 180s | the Library you'll be prompted with the |
| 182s | choice of two alt recipes that you can |
| 184s | unlock we decided to reduce the number |
| 186s | from 3 to two because we felt that a lot |
| 188s | of players got decision paralysis and |
| 191s | we're hoping that reducing the amount |
| 192s | down to two will make the decision a |
| 194s | little easier but wait a second that |
| 197s | means that we'll have less to choose |
| 198s | from for every hard drive if I'm looking |
| 200s | for a specific alt recipe I'll need to |
| 203s | research way more hard drives actually |
| 205s | no because we've added the ability to |
| 208s | roll the reward selection so for every |
| 210s | hard drive you researched you'll have |
| 212s | the option to roll the rewards once for |
| 215s | the possibility of two new recipes drawn |
| 218s | this means that for every hard drive |
| 220s | you'll have the chance of viewing four |
| 221s | alt recipes from the pool of yet to be |
| 223s | unlocked recipes once you decided to |
| 225s | reroll you won't be able to select |
| 227s | either of the previous two recipes |
| 229s | though so you're taking a little bit of |
| 230s | a gamble the rroll will also never grab |
| 233s | an ALT recipe that has already been |
| 235s | presented for that hard drive so you're |
| 237s | essentially guaranteed four unique |
| 239s | recipes per hard drive if you choose to |
| 241s | roll and four is more than three okay |
| 244s | quick side note here is that the rewards |
| 246s | pool only consists of alt recipes that |
| 249s | you can currently take advantage of so |
| 251s | as you unlock new tiers in the game the |
| 253s | current rewards pool will increase with |
| 255s | alt recipes relevant to your currently |
| 257s | unlocked Milestones this is how it works |
| 260s | currently in the game and there are no |
| 262s | changes to this aspect in 1.0 this means |
| 264s | that if you're looking for a specific |
| 266s | alt recipe Cas crew is in the early game |
| 269s | uh you'll have a significantly higher |
| 272s | chance of finding it by rrolling any |
| 274s | currently unclaimed rewards in the hard |
| 276s | drive Library will also be reserved from |
| 278s | the pool when a hard drive is picking |
| 280s | rewards from the pool and this includes |
| 283s | rerolls so if you want to maximize the |
| 286s | chance of getting the alt recipe you |
| 288s | want you can just save up your hard |
| 289s | drives until you get the alt recipe |
| 291s | you're looking for final thing I want to |
| 293s | mention is that there are still going to |
| 294s | be more hard driv scattered around the |
| 296s | world than there are alt recipes to |
| 298s | unlock so it will will be possible to |
| 300s | unlock every single alt recipe in the |
| 303s | game and that's pretty much the gist of |
| 305s | the functionality of the new hard drive |
| 307s | Library we're pretty happy with the |
