[2021] PINNED: Lavenderbeard & Other Beard Errors

We've noticed a number of threads are created due to encountering the Lavenderbeard error when trying to set sail. There's any number of reasons why you might be seeing this one, so here's a quick guide to our suggested fixes:

First, try to un-linking and re-linking your Xbox account to Steam. This action can be completed when at either the 'Start Game' screen or Main Menu. Simply clicking 'Sign Out' from these screens (or pressing the X key in the main menu) will prompt you whether you wish to sign out of Xbox Live.
