The Sea of Thieves servers are now back online.

Please be aware that there is an update to download before you can set sail.

The Sea of Thieves servers are now offline while we make sure everyone from Golden Sands is feeling okay after spending the last couple of weeks behind bars. Take a break, stretch your legs and maybe have a cup of tea, we’ll let you know when it’s safe to return to the seas.

You've got one hour left to pull into port and hand in that loot before the Sea of Thieves servers are taken offline for tinkering at 10am BST. Suppose you could just ram into the island, if that's quicker...

Attention pirates, the rescue of Golden Sands' denizens is almost complete! The Sea of Thieves servers will be offline from approximately 10:00 AM BST tomorrow, Thursday 7th, while we close the book on the latest Adventure.

Please plan your Voyages accordingly.

Welcome to {LINK REMOVED}Legends Week, everyone! As we’ve now passed the milestone of one million players who have reached Pirate Legend status, we thought it was a good a time as any to hold a big, week-long bash to celebrate our most dedicated sailors.

A quick reminder if you’re unsure of what a Pirate Legend is: it’s a player who has managed to hit rank 50 with at least three of Sea of Thieves’ Trading Companies. You’ll usually spot them by the purple and green outfits and their propensity to sail circles around you when you engage them in a sea battle.

Pirates, you’ve got until 10am BST this Thursday, April 7th, to rescue Golden Sands' citizens in the 'Forts of the Forgotten' Adventure and claim your Mementos! Complete Belle's tasks to claim the Jailor's Cutlass, and finish every Deed for the Freer of Forgotten Forts Title.

Strike a pose, shoot some finger guns and flex whatever muscles you can muster – turn some heads the next time you sail into port with the Bunch of Posers emotes! Available individually or as a bundle from the Pirate Emporium.
