Following last night's reports of gold and reputation not being received when selling loot, some data has proved unrecoverable. Players who sailed the Sea of Thieves between 9pm BST 29th September and 10:30am BST 30th September will receive 100k gold and 60 Doubloons as compensation.

Gold and Doubloons will automatically appear next time eligible players log into Sea of Thieves. Please allow 72 hours for this to be added to your account. If you have not received the expected amounts in this time, please contact our Support Team for assistance: https://support.seaofthieves.com

We're aware that some players are reporting delays in receiving gold and reputation when cashing in loot. This is currently being investigated by the team and we will update as soon as we have more information.

Thank you for your patience, pirates – the Sea of Thieves servers are now back online! Please note that you'll need to download a quick update before you next set off in search of loot. Attention pirates! The Sea of Thieves servers will be taken offline at 10am BST tomorrow, September 29th, to apply a hotfix that resolves some outstanding issues.

Please plan your Voyages accordingly as there’ll be a download to install before you set sail again
