[2021] Is anybody else having HORRIBLE ping lately?

I’m on the west coast NA, playing on west coast servers. both my boyfriend and I are getting disgustingly high ping when teamfights begin, every mode, every game - and it’s only in Smite. we’re both in different states (WA & CA) and neither of us have any problems with any other games. ping is around 60-90 when in fountain, and goes up to 350-500 when i leave fountain or begin teamfights. I’m not sure where else to ask this and I’d just like some insight as to if anyone else is having these problems or if it’s just me, going crazy or some sh*t. Like I said, every other game we play is fine. Overwatch, L4D, DBD - no problems. and not to mention I have an ethernet connection, as well as the fact that neither of us lag on discord (so it’s very likely not our internet)

any chance anyone knows what’s going on (with the servers, if that’s it) or how to help it? I feel like I can’t play a conq game because I cannot land any 1’s or 2’s on Janus/Scylla/Nox, and you all know how crucial it is to hit those. It really sucks feeling restricted to arena, and even then, still playing like sh*t because I’m missing autos and abilities.
