Do not get me wrong I like this game, invested much more time in it than I actually have and I am absolutely aware that this is an Alpha, but here are some critique points, that bug a hell out of me:

  • Please make learning a thing, it is everywhere during the crew creation... but NYI
  • Quantronics Components and Superblocks are in game, but NYI
  • give unused skills like piloting some functionality
  • Give relation an effect
  • Let tooltips for skills show the effects for example:
    • Mine 0: can operate a pod, but can not mine
    • Mine 1: Slow mining speed, 20% increased risk of accident
    • Mine 2: Fast mining speed, 10% increased risk of accident
    • Mine 3: Fast mining speed
    • Weapons 0: can use hand guns
    • Weapons 1: can use pistols and shotguns
    • Weapons 2: can use all weapons
    • Weapons 3: can use all weapons with 10% higher rate of fire
  • Rebalance some of traits, give the bad some advantages and the good an negative effect...:
    • Alien Lover: Is anyone exited to get a member with this one?
    • Clumsy: Even with 3 to mine, research, botany and weapons I would avoid this one if he has not maxed int...
    • Fast Learner: we can not learn
    • Hard Working: Too good
    • Iron stomach: If I could specify the diet for this one member only...
    • Lazy: What is it good for?
    • Minimalist: In fact, no pros, no cons...
    • Needy: Either non existing if managed well, or simply bad if not managed (does social have a functionality?)
    • Neurotic: could be cool trait, IF we had learning... change learning to research to make it a nice trait?
    • Psychopath: While I want to have my pocket Amos, Accident rate is just to punishing...
    • Smart: Learning -> Research and it is fine...
    • Belter: Just the best trait in game with no downside

Do you guys know Master of Orion 2? How the custom race is created? This could be a nice crew creation feature... You get 10 Points to invest int a char, bad trait gives you more points, good trait costs points... it is simple and gives even worst traits a purpose.
