Hello, I've been trying to play Stardew with my SO for the last little bit and no matter what I try we can't get on the same farm. We've played together a lot (in 2nd year) without a problem before and have played both on the same network and on different networks. The problem is that I seem to be blocked from the internet accessing Stardew Valley but all firewalls are turned off so I have no idea, the get invite code button is missing as well as the 'join with invite code and refresh buttons in the main menu

Not showing 'get invite code'

No option to input invite code or to refresh

We've tried the following troubleshooting:

- Made sure the game was started in co-op mode in the same way that we normally start it

- Restarted computer

- Completely turned off Windows Defender and Firewalls

- Changed name on steam

- Reinstalled vcredist_x86

- Moved Stardew Valley to a different hard drive

We've tried inviting from the game, and inviting from steam, most of the time the invite friend to play option wouldn't show up and the one time it did, when 'accept invite' was pressed nothing happened, the game didn't change at all.

I'm running Windows 10 with fully updated 1.5, I couldn't find any more troubleshooting online so if anyone knows a solution I will love you forever, thank you

I'm aware of this issue, but I really don't think it has to do with the update. There were no changes in the update which would have affected this, and people were reporting the issue before the update, too. Also, some people are saying it just starts working again, and wondering if there was a patch to fix something -- there was no patch. I think it has to do with the underlying matchmaking servers that are run by Steam & GOG. It could also just be that some people have firewall, antivirus, or other systems that are interfering with multiplayer, and there are more reports than usual right now because the update just came out and more people are playing the game than normal. I had this issue happen to me, as well, and I got it to work by closing the game, going invisible or signing off steam, then opening again, and possibly repeating a few times. Eventually it just worked.
