Hi.

Did anyone try to get a refund for Kickstarter's founder pack? My beta key available on beta.playstormgate.com was not working. As suggested on discord I contacted [email protected] immediately but besides 2 vague answers and despite my multiple emails, they completely ignored me (no answer since may 7).

I also contacted Frost Giant via Kickstarter platform, but they did not replied there as well. The beta is now over and I couldn't even play, despite beta access being the reason why I backed this project and not waited for the release.

Edit: to add more context, my issue was related to beta key which is one of the founders pack rewards. When beta started I tried to activate my key on steam, but the error I got said the key i try to redeem was already used by someone. I only had 'Stormgate Open Beta Playtest' in my steam library, but not 'Stormgate' app.

April 30: Contacting Frost Giant support for the first time, describing my issue with beta key, mentioning the fact 'Stormgate' app is not available in my library and my error when ictryvto redeem my key

May 2: Me asking support for a reply

May 3: Me asking support for a reply

May 4: Frost Giant replied saying my key should work and that I should launch 'Stormgate' app. They also told me to remove filters.

May 4: I immediately replied that I do not have this app available on my list. May 6: Me asking support for a reply

May 7: Frost Giant replied asking me to do things like reboot, restart steam or veryfing game file (game I do not have in my library)

May 7: Me replying none of those worked before, describing things I tried and their outcome

Radio silence since then.

Hey folks, quick update here: I refunded the OP’s pledge and notified him of it a couple days ago. We tried troubleshooting with him and were unsuccessful (this was a weird edge case as most backers were able to get into the game). We can’t say definitively whether it was an issue on Steam’s end, with his hardware config, or something on our side—I chalk it up to bad luck.

It sucks that we couldn’t get this sorted before the end of closed beta and we’re working on our processes so that we can be more responsive when users have technical issues that require more extensive investigation and troubleshooting.
