One thing I noticed in the gameplay reveal is that the max supply did not increase when building a Habitat. You can see it here, starting at 0:50.

  • At the start TLO has 25 supply.
  • It jumps to 40 at 0:53, seemingly without reason.
  • He starts building a second Habitat at 0:58 and finishes at 1:13. The max supply does not change until the end of the clip.

The other thing is that between 0:49 and 0:55 the unit interface is misaligned with the rest of the UI (it's too small, resulting in double borders and misaligned hotkeys grid).

My guess is that the interface we are seeing was added in post-production and wasn't properly synchronised with what's happening on screen.

Nice catch!

Yes, this is a result of some mistakes we made during production. We were using our observer tool to capture the gameplay footage from TLO and Kevin's playtest and decided to add in the player-perspective UI after-the-fact.

Apologies for not getting it quite right, but it should give you a good idea of where we are at this stage in development.
