[2021] New swgoh audio issue as of today

Running on iOS, opening up the SWGOH app now silences audio from other apps, including Music and Podcasts. I tried restarting the app and the device. No luck. This has never been an issue before today. I was hoping the global update connected to Kenobi GL might fix the issue, but it did not. This is a potential deal-breaker for me staying with the game after several years of consistent play. Any insight into how to fix it?

Several players who have ran into this issue reported chat clearing the game cache (Android / iOS) resolved the issue for them.

Others have reported that a fresh reinstall also helped (if you reinstall, please make sure that your game is linked to Google Play or Game Center).
