Hello everyone!
SWTOR is now running with the 64-bit client! This was a colossal effort from the team on all fronts, and I cannot wait for you all to see all of the updates that will be coming to the game over time.
The move to 64-bit also means that some players may have to update settings on their sides. Below are common changes/issues we have seen since we’ve been testing 64-bit.
Your Antivirus program may pop up with an alert. Players are encouraged to update their firewall/AV settings to allow the app.
Players may also need to remove compatibility settings as this was tied to seeing an empty server list upon log in.
- These could be set on [installation directory]\launcher.exe or [installation directory]\swtor\retailclient\swtor.exe
- Right click
- Click Properties
- Click the Compatibility tab
- Uncheck “run this program in compatibility mode”
Should any other common tech issues be reported after 7.2.1 goes live, I will add to this list.
