So the hide signature feature works lol.

But to unhide you actually have to take the "ignore user" off in user settings :D

So does this mean if i hide a sig then it will ignore the users posts too? seems a little counter productive imo. just a thought

There are four things you can ignore:

  1. Posts
  2. Messages
  3. Mentions
  4. Signature

So if you just want to hide someone's signature you will still see their other content. Once you ignore someone you can either remove the ignore or edit it to include or exclude the other options. You can control all that on this page https://forums.swtor.com/ignore/.

Will old posts that were imported into the new software eventually be searchable? When you click on the post count under anyone's name, it only shows posts they made since the transition, and posts from before then currently also don't show up in forum search results.

There's still some processing happening in the background, so search is only pulling recent posts. Search should be fully functional once everything is complete. I don't have an exact timeline on when things will be 100% done, but compared to launch yesterday, we're moving along pretty well.

Visually - is there a way to increase the entire forum font size or can that only be done through my personal PC settings?  That's the only other issue I have - the font is too small for me.

We're investigating the ability to customize font size as well as seeing what options we have for a "light mode".

Just got the error "Sorry, you cannot add any more reactions today" when trying to like a post. 😅 I'm surprised there's a limit on these? But even if it's needed, 10 per day seems kind of low?

This goes back to the points and badge system which aren't enabled just yet. Those are a phase 2 initiative. Everything you do on the forums will grant you a number of points over time. Those in turn will allow you to obtain certain ranks/titles. While the goal is positive engagement, there is a possibility of farming these points hence why the threshold is in place. What would be a fair number allowed to you?

Can we have step by step instructions for uploading our screenshots from STEAM?

This is not a functionality that exists. When we enable players to upload media, you will have to upload by the usual means.

I don't always want people to know i'm online so if there was a privacy toggle for activity that'd be cool.

If you go into your Settings > Security & Privacy and use your SWTOR login or reauthenticate, you will see the option to hide your online status.

Ever since I switched to STEAM I haven't been able to use the usual means. 😪

Sorry, I'm not understanding entirely. There wasn't a direct or easy path for anyone to upload images to the previous forums, so the functionality didn't exist for anyone. Can you clarify what you mean?

Thanks for the replies Jackie.

Just looking for some clarification In regards to the "This goes back to the points and badge system which aren't enabled just yet. Those are a phase 2 initiative. Would those ranks and titles be in-game, on the forums or both?

For the forums only. But who knows what the future will hold!

A few notes to everyone:

  • You should now be able to delete your own posts
  • The snapshots of posts that are published in the dev tracker can only show unique text, so quotes and hyperlinks will not show up. This is tied to how the Search function works to build the Search index. You will have to click on the post itself to see it in its entirety. I know this is not ideal, but let me know how you all feel about this adjustment.
  • There is something unusual happening with Condensed Mode on the dev tracker and the team is looking into it.
  • Regarding the feedback about the ability to adjust font size and having the ability to switch to a lighter background, those are things we will be investigating. Will share details when I can.

Thanks!

Is there a way to delete topics? I found a way to delete my own posts, but not my own topics. Or are you supposed to contact a moderator to delete something.

Example I need this deleted from testing.

I deleted it for you. I think topics are a little different when it comes to deletions, because deleting one impacts everyone else's replies, so you will probably need to ask.

Or if what @Nee-Elder said works then I stand corrected. 😄

Hi everyone,

Curious to know if anyone has made a custom Stream yet. In my initial New Forums Are Coming post, I talk a little bit about Streams, which is a new feature on the forums. This is a feeds feature that allows you to customize content you see. Toward the top of the forums, you should see My Activity Streams, and from there you can create a custom Stream that will only show specific content which can range from posts you create, topics that are unread, specific community members' posts, etc... Try it out and let me know what you think!

@YaddleTwo I'll message you about that password issue. The forum uses a different login system than the swtor.com website and doesn't store your password so it shouldn't be asking you for one.

For those having problems with signature height try using Shift-Enter instead of Enter. That should reduce the space between each line.

Hey @RevBurtif you want to include only recent posts start your search from this page:
https://forums.swtor.com/search/

That will allow you to set a custom date range, or use one of the preset date ranges, so you don't get older posts in your search results.

Excuse me  @JesseReid , but over the past week  i've been noticing  THIS:  https://i.imgur.com/2Mi7Lhy.jpg ...  a few times.   Any idea what's going on?

Local/user issue  or something larger with these new forums?

If you can keep track of the times and pages it happens on I can check the logs. Might be something I need to pass along to Invision (forum software company) to check on.  Send me a DM with more details if you see it happen again.

I would still like to see the post body be 16 pt font instead of 14 pt. Some threads are very long, and it strains the eyes at the smaller size currently. I've figured out how to open the browser tools and edit the CSS, but it would be better if you had an option in user settings to change this.

That is something we're looking into. 🙂

A new version of the software was scheduled for deploy sometime this week so you got unlucky and visited during that period. 🙂 It will happen every month and shouldn't take very long, the process is handled by Invision who manage/run the forum software.

@Sarova@Hudlar and anyone else who was looking for a way to make the post text size larger there is now a toggle. On desktop you can find it in the dropdown in the top left where it shows your username. And on mobile it is in the menu toggle in the top right. Look for the checkbox that says "Increase font-size for content?"

Hey everyone, just a quick note to say that the next/previous dev post feature is currently broken. We're working with Invision to get the plugin fixed and for it to support the new Broadsword group.

Also, @svobu forgot to reply earlier but I fixed that translation issue a while back, let me know if you run into anything else that is missing or incorrect. If you ever get stuck in a different language you can change it back to English using the dropdown at the bottom of the page.

Thanks all, I'm gonna look into this more. There should be an Events tab next to Activity. Let me dig around a bit and I'll post an update here when I have one!
