Everything in this set is so insanely fun. At a first glance, I think Riot hit the mark on absolutely every trait. With no legends and no 10.5 set I really think this set has potential to be the best one yet. I'm so excited. Thank GOD for PBE.

Poro is no skill!!

It's disheartening and downright baffling to witness the misplaced adoration for Poro in our beloved game, Teamfight Tactics. We fell in love with TFT for its demand of STRATEGY, ADAPTABILITY, and a deep understanding of the game's MECHANICS. Yet, here we have Poro, reducing this intricate dance to a mere roll of the dice. Pick Poro, look up some stats online, and pray to the RNG gods for some favorable augments. 2-1 Two Healthy? Or 2-1 Vampiric Blades a patch ago? Congrats at top 4! Where's the skill? Where’s the COMPETITION?

It's even more perplexing to see the disdain for other legends like Twisted Fate and Urf, which embody qualities that make TFT a game of skill and strategy. Twisted Fate isn’t about getting lucky; it's about MASTERING the art of rerolling items. It’s about knowing the precise moment to reroll versus when to slam, gauging the RISK and REWARD, and making informed decisions that can spike your board and secure you the win out. Every reroll with Twisted Fate is a statement of your understanding of items, compositions, and flexibility based on the units you've hit or want to hit. It's a TESTAMENT to your skill.

On the other hand, we have Urf, a legend that demands a comprehensive GRASP of every comp in the game. To excel with Urf, you need to have a deep understanding of items, positioning, but most of all, SYNERGIES. You can't just stumble upon a win with Urf; you EARN it through a thorough understanding and mastery of the game's dynamics. You need to be solid with every line to master Urf. Without a fundamental understanding of the game AND a fundamental understanding of every single emblem-capable line, you will not do well. If you have this knowledge, you can play flexibly around the emblem and be rewarded with strong boards that outcap the lobby's. That's pure TFT.

Poro, however, tosses all these beautiful complexities out the window. It’s a shortcut to victory, a bypass of the ESSENTIAL skills that define the core of TFT. It's not about understanding the game; it’s about getting lucky with augments. It's a disservice to the competitive spirit of TFT.

We need to champion the essence of SKILL and STRATEGY that legends like Twisted Fate and Urf uphold. They represent the heart and soul of TFT, the satisfaction of a well-earned victory, and the exhilarating challenge that keeps us coming back for more. Poro, with its luck-centric mechanics, threatens to eclipse the TRUE NATURE of TFT, and that’s a trend we ought to resist with every fiber of our competitive beings. The stark contrast between the love of a luck-based legend and the hate for skill-based legends is a concerning reflection of where the community's priorities lie.
