How long after the 1.0 update do we have to do the cross progression process?
I am losing my Discord copy, so how long do I have until I can't do the cross progression? Do I have to buy another version immediately? Or will the ability to cross progress be there indefinitely even though Discord will not be updating any longer?

Hi! The Discord accounts will become inaccessible with 1.0, so that specific migration has to be done before that. That is September 6th, so I wouldn't wait beyond the 5th, to be sure.
You do not have to buy another version: we're providing you with a free extra key.
You will still be able to cross-progress and link other platforms once 1.0 hits, only not Discord because you need access to both platforms you're linking, and you won't be able to access your Discord account beyond 1.0

I was more asking because I was already planning on dropping the Discord account since it's my alt anyway.
I just thought maybe later on down the road if I got the game for like the Switch if I could do the cross progression then.
If I am correct, the Switch version comes out with full release, so migration from Discord to Switch isn't going to be an option?
Migrating from Discord to Switch won't be an option, but if you migrate your progress to Steam now you will be able to cross-progress that Steam account with the Switch :)
You can consider the free Steam key sort of a vault for the Discord progress until the rest of platforms launch.

I actually bought a PC specifically for Temtem so I am not too savvy when it comes to PC things.
I assume I would just need to make an alternate Steam account and just redeem the game that way?
