Hey guys,

I'm new here. The reason I even landed here is because of the lack of Terraria: Otherworld updates. The game from its announcement time has taken way too long to be done. This is like Legend of Zelda breath of the wild wait times. But hey at least they revived the hype train. Terraria OW hype is dead with me. It's really sad. Even a simple screen shot or "Hey guys, look a copper coin!" Would be enough to keep people on the hype train... But no they want to do a poor job instead.

Anyways... I feel like playing Terraria are there any good mods that will extend the game play a lot? Can you combine more than one mod? If so what ones are the best to combine? After we beat duke fishron and the moon lord the game lost its appeal entirely as there was nothing more to do( we did all the invasions and events and beat all the bosses). I play this game as a coop setting with my friend. So will the game with mods also work with co-op? I'm looking for mods that will add more adventure, possibly new biomes? Definitely a new tier of armour and weapons. We love to get powerful things slowly as it makes it more fun and rewarding and increased longevity of the game. Love challenging bosses that are hard because it's fun (yet frustrating) any mods that will add new equipment and equipment slots? As well as increase health and mana?

Thanks!

Again, our apologies for the really long radio silence here

Straight from their most recent post about T:OW...back in July of '16.

The twitter for T:OW is pretty pathetic. People ask questions about the radio silence(didn't they already apologize for it in a show to say they won't do it again...only to do it again...) and get really pathetic answers. Here is a prime example of an interaction back in december:

is this game ever going to come? wasnt this game supposed to come out like a year ago?

We are still in development, check out our pinned Tweet for the most recent news

Tweet in question The pinned tweet they are talking about is the July 2016 news... 6 months later and they are still saying 'hey, we have 0 news...so check out some 6 month old news about a game that was supposed to come out in 2015'.

The last 'info/spoiler/anything about T:OW' was on September 2nd, 2016. It was a picture saying 'look at the new ocean biome' and that was it. 5 months ago and counting on anything related to T:OW. That is horribly pathetic coming from a company who said 'sorry for radio silence' and then they proceed to go on an even longer radio silence binge.

Personal opinion, I won't be getting T:OW. I am sure Terraria 2 will be awesome and I will get that(maybe, depends on if it ends up being like T:OW with 'sorry about radio silence' and then over 5 months of radio silence) but I have no plans and am pretty disappointed with T:OW already. Anecdotal view...games that take this long(was supposed to be out in 2015, then 2016...and now there is radio silence...you do the math with that.) and have this much radio silence/horrible communication from a social media using company...means the game will most likely fall flat on expectations and not end up being as good as was hyped. The hype for T:OW, for me at least, is dead.

As for the mods...I don't play modded terraria(a newer player who has been looking at terraria for a long time) but there was a post the other day asking pretty much the same mod questions and had some great responses from the community.

Here is the mod thread I was talking about. People seem to really enjoy mods for the game and it does seem to increase longevity for others.

EDIT: What is really interesting is the official terraria twitter ACTUALLY communicates with the community and gives actual answers(none of this 'maybe' and 'nah' shit like T:OW twitter). Just goes to show how dead T:OW is.

Said this in another thread, but will repeat it here:

The silence is there because it's necessary. Clearly we are not so dense to say that and then knowingly plan to go quiet again. ;). We also would really rather wait until any potential news/info is solid before sharing - even then, "stuff happens", but it at least lessens the odds.

As Cenx said on her profile on TCF - when we have something solid and ready to say, we absolutely will. It's not that we don't get - and appreciate - the strong desire for more info....it's that info isn't quite ready to share.

All we can do is apologize for the unfortunate scenario that creates this "double silence" dynamic - it's not by design or something we want. Hopefully it is also something we can rectify soon. :)

Thanks to you all for your continued patience and support regardless, and hopefully the end result will be worth the wait - we will certainly do all that we can to make certain this is the case. :)
