More functional ropes: Smooth horizontal movement, Automatic horizontal placing, Attach banners

I've always found it strange that you're able to transverse ropes, but not as fast as you can ascend them. And has anyone tried to place long sections of horizontal rope?—Not as convenient as you'd think! I hope that these features are one day addressed.
