Talents are too restrictive to the point of frustrating the game, limiting creativity in builds and or build potential at higher difficulty levels (not to mention random loot and recalibration limits.)

This could b a very long discussion so I'll keep it brief (my viewpoint is on builds at Challenging group of 4, Heroic or Raid level difficulty.)

Just some examples...

COMPENSATED: It's restricted to 3 offensive? Good luck surviving on 3 offensive even with the 15% weapon damage and skill kills. Wont be long before your build hits a ceiling after hours of farming and recalibration.

BERSERK: It's restricted to AR, Shotty or SMG? The min 7 offensive requirement allows for a decent offensive build but your taking away survivability and pushing players into close combat? Good luck surviving at higher levels of difficulty.

CLUTCH: It's restricted to a max 4 defensive? Again low survivability on a perk that would favor a Berserk conceptual build but good luck surviving on 4 defensive or 150K health (if u can find the flexibilty in recalibrating the gear?)

I assume the Devs went to much effort in testing these concepts but I dont get it. I dont mean to put the game down...as its an excellent game...but trying to get creative in a Raid is a punish!!!

Been seeing this topic sprout up a bit more often than usual lately... keep in mind that when loosening some restrictions on talents that they can have a bit of a backfire effect. Allowing a talent on every weapon or giving it a lower requirement might technically make it more usable by a wider variety of builds - but if it quickly becomes the best option, then the overall variety is ultimately reduced.

No talent exists in a vacuum, they all have to interact with the other talents, the exotics, the skills, etc.

I appreciate the feedback and nuanced discussion on the topic - this is just something to keep in mind with these conversations.
