[2020] Update Download Failed

The update failed downloading and it wont finish. Its says I need to make sure I have an active connection and plenty of hard drive space, but I have both. I keep hitting reset to finish but it keeps going back to failed and wont let me finish the download.

1) Download the latest version of Uplay from here: https://uplay.ubisoft.com/en-GB . Save it to the PC, but don't install it.
2) Open task manager and kill uplay, if it's running.
3) REBOOT - this is important. On my PC, something was holding some files open and so they couldn't be overwritten.
4) Install the new uplay installer you downloaded.
5) Start uplay.

At that point, it came up and said the game was available. Started it, worked fine.

Restarting the computer worked for me. Hopefully, you're not caught in the infinite video bug loop.
