Hello there,

So first off this issue pops up in RS2014 on PC, couldn't try it under RS+ beta (I got my beta access few days before it closed... could just try it through the phone app which didn't work, but that a different topic!) but since the dedicated RS2014 forum are closed here I am 🙂

I use the official cable and it works great, picking up the guitar and notes correctly; but every time after 20-30min of playing it stops picking up notes. No error message or anything, as if it could still "detect" the guitar and all but in fact it doesn't show or plays any of my notes. I don't think this is a hardware issue but have no clue then what it can be or how to solve it.

Thank you in advance for the help!

Hello everyone, thank you for letting us know of your issues with the cable not being detected after a certain amount of playtime.

To remedy this, would you try these two fixes -

Reinstall the USB driver for the cable -

•  Open the Device Manager.
• Expand the Sound, video and game controllers menu.
• Select the Rocksmith USB Guitar Adapter.
• Choose Action and then Uninstall device.
• Unplug the Real Tone cable from your computer.
•  Install the drivers again.

Next, can you also make sure you do not have any other USB peripherals or their driver software/RGB software running in the background of your PC, that may be interfering with the cables USB drivers and software?
Software such as but not limited to Razer Synapse / SteelSeries Engine / Logitech G Hub / Corsair iCue.

A more detailed list of this type of software can be found near the bottom of this article and contains instructions on how to disable them and clean boot your PC - https://www.ubisoft.com/help?article=000063761
