After much trial and error, I believe I've identified a reliable method to reproduce the Fragile Armor bug - the one where applying an armor kit does not remove the debuff.
Here are the steps to set up the reproduction of this bug in solo play:
- Approach a Control Point and Call for Allies
- Take damage to break your armor, applying the debuff.
- Apply an armor kit, which removes the debuff - this shows that the bug is not active
- Apply a second armor kit, which restores full armor (does this step matter?)
To reproduce the bug:
- Take damage to break your armor, applying the debuff
- Die
- Respawn on the Green Gun icon - you will come back with full armor and no debuffs
- Take damage to break your armor, applying the debuff
- Apply an armor kit - this will NOT remove the debuff, thus triggering the Fragile Armor bug
Here are FIVE videos that show these exact steps, and the fragile armor bug occuring EVERYTIME like clockwork.
I did not record this in my videos, but it may be worth mentioning that traveling to the BoO or a friendly Control Point does NOT remove the debuff, but traveling to a safe house will remove them. I would not be surprised if in my steps above, instead of respawning on your allies attacking the control point, respawning at the BoO or friendly Control point will also trigger the bug.
u/Ubi-Lucipus, I hope you can take these videos to the Dev team to investigate. One of the most difficult parts of fixing bugs is not having the steps to reproduce them, but I believe this should provide your devs with a reliable starting point. I would appreciate any updates or feedback from the devs working on this issue.
