You may want to contact Epic Games Support for more information on this error, as it may be that they are having issues with their services at the time of trying to connect.

Are you launching the game from the Uplay PC client, or from the Epic Games launcher?

You may want to try emptying the cache of Uplay PC. This support article can help you to do this.
