Hi,

Sorry if this has been posted before, I havent been able to describe whats happening properly in search terms.

Basically There is random slow downs where the game will go from like 70fps to 5-10fps, my last inputs will be continued (all subsequent inputs will not be taken) the CPU usage will drop to half of what normal gameplay is and this will last for about 5-10 seconds and then everything will be fine. Voip at the same time wont have any issue.

Things I have done to try and fix this but have not worked: turn all the graphics settings to absolute minimum, update drivers, disable uplay overlay, verify files, reinstall the game, move game from HDD to SSD, move game from SSD to NVMe, run in windowed mode, reduce resolution. There may be ones im missing, but I have tried all the major fixes posted for stuttering to no avail. I have monitored the CPU, RAM, GPU, network and Disk useage and none spike at the time of the slowdown, so being the layperson I am, I can only assume that the game itself is the issue, as in its going fine one second and then either hangs or stops sending data to the CPU etc, why else would my CPU useage drop to half of what normal gameplay is?

My specs are Threadripper 2950X, RTX2080ti, 32Gb of RAM, 1440P resolution screen and my internet is okay, I used to play on worse internet and these slowdowns have been happening for the last 6-12 months and I've just put up with them, mainly because i thought the cause was [I]most likely[I] my internet at the time, but as it has been upgraded, I cant think that it is the issue.

Has anyone else been experiencing this? I can't see any posts with similar issues, but maybe im just blind. Any help would be greatly apreciated, its not unplayable, but it is just annoying and has caused me to be downed through no fault of my own several times.

Thanks

Hi ahobowithastick,

Thank you for reporting this issue to us.

Do you have any performance managing software? You mention monitoring, but anything such as Razer Game Booster or something that might be controlling where your resources are being assigned?

Are you overclocking any of your components?

Apologies for the delayed response, ahobowithastick. Thanks for the additional information.

If you haven't already, I would recommend opening a support ticket, as this would allow our team to take a closer look at your system files. You can reach our support teams here:

When opening a support case, please could you attach an MSinfo and a DxDiag to your case? This will help with further investigation. Additionally, please include all of the troubleshooting steps you have tried so far. You may find it helpful to link this forum thread, as this includes a very detailed report of the steps you have tried thus far.

Thanks!
