In the story campaign, the ai was the best I'd ever played against. I loved every part of it.

But in the end game there are scenarios where they are overpowered and therefore become over aggressive and I think that's the point the op is making and I agree.
So a lot of what I see about the AI itself in terms of enemy behavior is positive. That being said, there's always room for improvement, and other people have brought up issues with the hostage AI, unfair-feeling spawning, and uncanny accuracy. We're making sure to forward all of these thoughts to the devs.

I like to phrase the stuff I pass on in as actionable a way as possible (as people have probably noted from a lot of my posts requesting more detailed feedback ). "The AI is a joke" is pretty vague. I was referring to the particular types of feedback mentioned in my post.
