Am I the only one who thinks this game is going the wrong direction?
I was willing to wait some out because I wasn't at the cap yet...thinking I could recalibrate my way back to the higher crit chance and better weapon damage numbers, but HIGHER GEAR is getting capped at LOWER stats. I had one piece that was 450s and 30% DTE, tried rolling that to a 480some piece and IT CAPPED IT @ 20% but raised the gear's value to 500. What is this madness? There are more examples of course but this has been the majority of my recalibrating experience. I defended the state of gear before...but I really can't at this point. I gave it a shot but i'm not seeing any hope at the end of the grind.
The skills ARE STILL not smooth. Double tapping the chem (Xbox One Player) is horrendus, i'd say at least half my double taps miss (meanign they don't drop the heal) or just pull out the chem. This is not good with a game that punishes you for being slow and/or moving. I feel ike movement is worse post patch for some reason...I seem to be getting "stuck" on more things in the world. Enemies are teleporting more...although I didn't see that as much tonight. But it was pretty bad with the mods patch.
I find myself more and more frustrated...to the point where I don't really want to play it. What is the point of grinding for that one piece of gear that has EVERY PART of it perfect save the one thing you'd want to roll....but then that roll results in a LOWER stat from a gear item 30 or 40 points below the cap. This seems like what I like to call and "exercise in futility."
Save weapons who seem to deal a bit more damage as numbers rise gear seems to be pointless beyond 450 as all the stats go down. "You get a bit more armor though." GREAT!! Because we all know they don't shred through that insta?
What is going on? Where's the direction headed? What's a raid going to be like with this kind of path forward? HOW ABOUT ROLLING TWO STATS!? Or ONE talent on a crafted gun? On a gear piece? Seems ridiculous that I can't....what's the point in crafting now? Seems like everything pushes you into the relentless pursuit of gear that ROLLS WITH LOWER STATS (even with recal) than what you had before.
I don't mean to rant or come off entitled...want to love the game and play it, I think it still has the best "core" shooting mechanics out, but I'm rapidly losing faith. If I could just raise my power level and have something to look forward too...make the cannon that I want (really miss striker!!)...I think I'd be fine with everything else.
