There are a lot of people taking issue with players running around the dark zone with a double barrel shotgun and premeditated on it. I have a couple tips for you to combat that.

1. Distance is your best friend as shotguns have very limited range and A LOT of spread which is why they suck in pve still.

2. Try to use grenades to widen the gap. Only someone running high hazard protection and demolitionist would voluntarily eat a grenade consequence free.

3. Defender drone will block a couple shots and you can light them up during the reload or use blinding firefly.

4. Use your weapons of choice but keep a sawed off as a sidearm, preferably with optimist instead of premeditated. The reason is your first 2 shots will hit harder than their first 2. Then switch to your main weapon during their reload and light them up.

5. You can also use defender drone to pop an armor kit. Unless they use one shot to break the drone and the second on you, but most people will try to just shoot you.

6. Scramble as much as you can. Moving and firing greatly increases the spread of the pellets and a moving target is always harder to hit.

7. Unless you're in the odz, be aware of your surroundings. If you see someone go rogue, listen for ISAC's warning. The only time you're screwed is if they go rogue right behind you. In which case, be aware of your surroundings. In an occupied dz they'll just start shooting and you can't do much about that.

8. Be careful where and when you roll as this makes your movement predictable to an extent.

Hope this helps.
