I'm sorry you've both been having trouble with making a purchase in the store!
I'd advise the following steps to see if we can resolve this.
1) Verify the game files to see if the store starts working in game again.
2) Try purchasing using the Ubisoft Connect client, and clear the client cache for any issues loading the store there.
3) Try purchasing using the Ubisoft Store website, and try the following browser troubleshooting for any issues in the browser.
