So, I bought The Division 2, along with all its content including the year one pass, and warlords. I came from division 1, and I wanted to be able to play with my friends as they all had lvl 30 characters already. When I made a new character, it asked if I wanted to do a normal campaign or warlords, so I selected warlords. It told me it would boost a character etc etc. But when I am choosing a specialization I am only able to use marksman, demolition and survivalist. Firewall, Gunner, And Technicaion are greyed out, and im not able to "Press G to get started" or even "Activate" it. I was able to spend 165 in the other three though, with no issues. I attached a screenshot as to what I am seeing. Im wondering if I am having this problem because I jumped right to warlords, rather then boosting a normal campaign avatar.

Anyway any advice or help would be appreciated. It might even be fixed after this maintenance.

I was in the same boat as most of you replying to the original opening post. I purchased the Year 1 Bundle hoping to unlock the specializations and be instantly granted the 165 points per specialization and skip the Field Research. This is where we are interpreting the sentence "Instant unlock of all Year 1 Specializations" wrong.

The Year 1 Bundle gives you instant access to the Specialization, which it does, we can instantly start using the weapon. It also gives the ability to unlock the "Premium Rewards" as you are still required to complete the Field Research. Once you start going through the Field Research you are granted more points to spend within the skill tree.

TL/DR
You can use the weapon but are still required to complete Field Research to gain rewards and points.
Hello MrCoIIective, welcome to the forums!

Thank you for sharing this!

As the Year 1 bundle gives you access to the specialisations, but in order to unlock all of the abilities, the progress is essential. I hope it clarifies the situation and if you have any additional questions, please let us know!

As you explain it, even with "instant unlock" you still need to do things in order to get spec points and such. So what if someone has no "instant unlock"? It is said that if you DON'T have it, you have to go through the game to gain it...and that is EXACTLY what we are doing and what you told us "it's meant to be"

So...what is the difference between the owners of year pass 1 and those that don't have it as both have to go and unlock content?
If you don't own the Year 1 Pass, in order to access the newer specialisations (Gunner, Technician, Firewall) released through updates, you have to complete a series of five Special Field Research missions. Once the specialisations are accessible and playable, this is then when you can start earning the specialisation points you need to level them up and make the most out of them.

If you own the Year 1 Pass, and choose to complete the special research tasks even with the instant access you are granted, you have the opportunity to earn exclusive cosmetic rewards. Each of the articles I've linked to via the specialisation names above mentions what those rewards are if you're interested!

I can't access the start field research option on any of the 3 extra specalizations so i am stuck at just 3 points in each. Even more insulting is that each specialization tree is shown as completed to tier 5 anyway so there is no possible way to progress 2nd/3rd charaters if this is the case.
There is literally no way of progressing in game to unlock the missing points.

And support are still coming back with the same replies to tickets. "it's a known issue and to keep an eye on the forums for updates"
Are you able to provide me with your case reference number and a short video of the issue, blazingmaniac? I'll take a look into your case for you and see where we're at.
