Why another Eagle Bearer thread? Simple the other one tends to discuss the Bearer in the context of "why I deserve it" or "why you don't deserve it".

I don't want to dicuss it from either of those points, since they are to my mind irrelevant to the topic. If you do content you should get loot at the end of it, it's a looter shooter after all. The reward should fit the effort put in. Simples.

The Eagle Bearer is without doubt the most powerful AR in the game right now. It only drops from the normal mode of the the raid. Lt Buzz Litebeer has a good vid on the subject:

My view on EB is it is overpowered.

Countless points have been made about "it's the reason I did/farmed the raid", and why they deserve it. So if you feel Eagle Bearer is a valid reward from the normal raid, what reward would you consider to be valid from challenge or heroic difficulty? How powerful would it need to be to draw you in?

Raids that come afterwards must also offer similar rewards, otherwise the raiders will become disinterested because they are not being adequately rewarded.

With the upgrade schematics for such items, you can carry those into world tier 6 and beyond.

Countless threads have been made about how easy the game is, so if you think it is easy now, how easy do you think it will be when you have your weaponry from the raids?

The difference between a player starting, and a player completing end game content in other games is staggering. You can stomp about with your raid gear and smash everything to little pieces. In short content become irrelevant, all that is a challenge is the raid.

So the real question is what game are you expecting, and wanting to play? Getting loot that is powerful is rewarding and fun, but putting into specific content will change the game.

Alright. I'll be closing this thread now due to toxicity. This conversation has played out more than a handful of times across different threads and different sub forums and always ends in the same toxic mess.

@OP, I appreciate your original intent to discuss the balance of the EB, but this thread has now gotten caught in the usual discussion loop and has become far too flame-war-y.
