“We know the raid is harder on consoles, but we are happy with where we’re at.”
By Adam Bankhurst While The Division 2's Dark Hours raid's difficulty has been a point of contention, especially for console players, developer Massive Entertainment says it currently has no plans to adjust the challenge.
As reported by VG247, the Dark Hours raid launched last week and it took five hours for the first PC players to complete it. However, console players could not complete the raid until the third day it was available.
Currently, over 7,000 PC players have completed the Dark Hours raid, while only 200 people have completed it on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. This has caused many fans to speak out and request some changes to be made to the difficulty.
Unfortunately for those requesting changes, Massive Entertainment has now said that there are no plans to adjust the challenge. During this week's State of the Game stream for The Division 2, community developer Chris Gansler said that while Massive is always listening to feedback and ready to make changes, in this one instance, it is standing firm.
“We’ve heard rumours about us changing the raid difficulty… there are currently no plans to change that,” said Gansler. “We know the raid is harder on consoles, but we are happy with where we’re at.”
This decision follows another that said that The Division 2 raid would not have matchmaking, despite Ubisoft's earlier comments that promised matchmaking for all of the game's activities".
Massive might be happy but tyour main player base is not!
